ELEPHANT EGO - FEVER

Since first arriving in 2012, Elephant Ego has consistently delivered their distinctive sound to new live audiences across Melbourne. Having issued a demo in late 2013 to a sold out crowd at The Evelyn, Elephant Ego are set to release their debut EP – Girl’s Don’t Believe in Flowers (released October 16th2014). Recording took place at Oaklands Studios & Transient Productions during the months of January to June, with in house engineer Kris Samos – Mastering by Adam Dempsey (Jack The Bear Deluxe Mastering Studios). The EP is trademarked with gritty blues influenced guitar riffs and solos, accompanied by heavy bass, layered with a driving snare and bass drum. Echoing with transcendental hard-hitting melodies – a soaring amalgam of rock and blues.

The lead single ‘Fever’ (released 15th September 2014), reflects the bands ability to gradually ascend from a blues/soul style into a more heavy rock based track. It’s within this form that Elephant Ego’s signature sound is found.

Having clocked all the necessary live venues in Melbourne headlining The Corner Hotel, Toff in Town, The Workers Club and The Evelyn, Elephant Ego made their festival debut at Lawsfest 2014 alongside Lurch & Chief, Going Swimming and The Good Morrows.
Boasting an impressive live show with captivating live visuals Elephant Ego  will launch their debut EP – Girl’s Don’t Believe In Flowers at The Northcote Social Club on October 16th, with live visuals provided by VJ – Yarabe.

LIDO - I LOVE YOU

At 21 years old Lido is one of the key faces of a new generation reinventing the perception of electronic music and that of its producers. Not just another DJ playing a cheese-pop track penned by a faceless writer with their stamp of approval, but a legitimate writing talent with a number of production credits for other artists. After several years of an often toxic landscape dominated by the prevailing ‘EDM’ zeitgeist it’s a refreshing change.

Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Elesia Iimura "Believe" (2014) | the AU review

‘Believe’ is a fresh take on pop/R&B, with heavy 808 drums, pulsing synths, driven by her emotive vocal delivery.

Elesia Iimura’s got the magic mix of confident-cool, boundless talent and is genetically blessed with hypnotic features from a Japanese and Australian heritage.

Elesia describes her musical style as “a mixture of urban, pop and soul; fueled by edgy beats, drawing influences from trap, dancehall, and hip-hop”.

Musically, she is drawn to darker vibes and rhythmic undertones, and this is apparent in her video for ‘Believe’ and expressed through her own personal style.

Leading up to writing and producing her own music, Elesia has performed on stages across the world, as well as with the likes of Boyz ll Men and K-Ci & Jo Jo during their Australian tour. She has also worked with Ilan Kidron from The Potbelleez and ARIA Award winning producer Audius, and Snob Scrilla.

Her track ‘Take It To The Top’ was also featured on the Australian television series ‘The Strip’ where she also had a supporting acting role.

This girl is just an inherent performer with the world at her feet, but she’s keeping those firmly on the ground.
